Easy Hot Chocolate Sauce

No bain-maries in this recipe - just chuck all the ingredients together in a small saucepan, heat and stir! This is great for ice cream, fondues or any other occasion when you need hot chocolate sauce.........

Serves 4

200g good quality plain chocolate
150ml milk or water (add more liquid if too think)
40g caster sugar (add more to taste)
50g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
